The Founder: Andrea Filippetti
Founder and CEO of the company

Interview
Listen to the interview, in Italian, with Andrea Filippetti – GDV Capital Angel Investors.
The Founder and CEO of the company, Andrea Filippetti, is a Senior Manager with over thirty years of experience in C level roles within internationally renowed multinational companies operating in Italy, Europe, and the Middle East.
From 2000 to 2008, he served as the CEO of the Startup Tele2 in Italy (telecommunications – Kinnevik AB Group – Sweden), from its foundation to 600m€ exit to Vodafone in December 2007. This experience gave him know how to then launch a number of entrepreneurial initiatives as Founder or Co-founder in the Real Estate, Entertainment, and Utilities sectors, building an excellent track record of successful exits, alongside with a few inevitable (as common in the startup world) failures. These setbacks did however provide him super valuable learnings and insights into what to avoid or do differently in the entrepreneurial / startup environments.
In 2014, he founded GDV CAPITAL, initially as an Advisory Company, which later evolved in 2021 into a firm focused on Angel Investments. While the company continues to offer consulting services to business, this activity is now secondary and mainly targeted at the startups and SMEs in which GDV CAPITAL invests.
His extensive professional experience, developed as a C Level manager in both national and international multinational companies, as an entrepreneur and founder/co-founder of startups and SMEs, and as a serial investor for almost a decade, makes him a reliable and credible partner. Moreover, he has access to a vast network of connections at both at national and international levels.
Andrea Filippetti’s approach toward founders is highly personal and empathic. Each project is carefully analyzed and directly selected by him, with the support of expert external consultants from the GDV CAPITAL network. Regardless of the outcome, every project always receives open and constructive feedback. Filippetti infact firmly believes (having experienced it firsthand in his roles as founder or co-founder) that behind every idea there are people, commitment, and sacrifice, and that every founder deserves respectful, timely, and transparent feedback, regardless of the investment decision outcome.
